This is going to be a blast! We’ve never ventured into the world of Sushi before but thanks to our new friend, Miyako Watanabe, we’re doing this beginner sushi class. Miyako will show us the ins and outs of correctly rolling up some incredible sushi. Miyako will instruct us on three different rolls (tempura, California, and a veggie roll) and you’ll choose two of them to roll yourself. You’ll eat or take home all the sushi you make, along with the sushi mat you’ll get with the class! We’ll be showing how to make the ginger dressing that is served in our American sushi restaurants, a simple miso soup, and we’ll have a little sweet treat to finish the meal. This beginner class will not be making any rolls with raw fish—so anybody that’s a first-time sushi eater should have no fear!
