We’re so excited to welcome the OH MY MAHJONG team to Acorn Farm. Ashley Gomez and Linda Casey are retired educators with over 35 years of combined teaching experience. Their journey with American Mahjong began in 2019 and quickly became a passion. They started by teacher their friends, family and local organizations, which blossomed into a vibrant community initiative.
In January 2024, they founded Dallas Mahj club, a private social club now serving over 125 active members with a substantial waiting list. As certified Oh My Mahjong instructors, they’ve had the privilege of teaching over 4000 individuals nationwide.
Their mission is simple: to provide American Mahjong lessons that cultivate both skill and confidence, inspiring players to become a part of a growing Mahjong community.
The classes will be on August 12th and 13th. The cost is $75 per person per class. We’re offering the 101 class at three different times. The 102 class will be run twice. It is highly recommended that you take 101 AND 102. Everyone who registers for both 101 and 102 will get $10 refunded to you at the event. We wanted to get registration going quickly and quite honestly we were unable to figure out how to give you the $10 discount online when you bundled 101 and 102. These classes are non-refundable so please check your calendar carefully.
Mahjong Lesson 101 – 2 ½ hour course – This is an introductory lesson designed for brand new players, or those who have only played online. It includes tile identification, understanding the card, and rules of play. You have three options for sign-up:

Mahjong Lesson 102 – 2 ½ hour course – A continuation of Lesson 101, designed for players who need guided practice or have some experience and want to build on their foundational skills. You have two options for sign-up:

These classes are non-refundable so please check your schedule carefully and be sure to select the correct class and time from the options below. Make sure you put your email in correctly so you receive a receipt. If you don’t complete your transaction, the class has not been purchased.
These classes are going to be fun, hands-on, loaded with information, and you’ll leave knowing you got your money’s worth. These gals are excellent teachers, love the game, and want to make sure YOU love it, too. There's nothing you need to bring to class except your enthusiasm!
